Another turn in ‘Operation Ramos’. When everything pointed towards Sergio Ramos leaving Real Madrid for Manchester United this summer, his mother, Paqui, has suggested otherwise. The journalist, who got Paqui to speak through her car window, had already failed when asking Ramos’s father for his take on defender’s transfer saga. However, his mother was much more open to talking. Sport EN CEST In quotes to Atresemdia, she has said that her son wants to stay in Madrid, that he wants to stay in Spain and that she does not see him moving to the Premier League. Asked if Ramos would like to stay at Madrid, she responded: “Of course, yes, Madrid above all.” And she also assured, as we said, that she does not see him moving to Man United. Remember that United are very interested in signing the central defender. Louis van Gaal is looking to build a strong side after returning the Red Devils to the Champions League. 30/06/2015 Upd. at 22:54

0Shares0000BATA, January 17 – Gabon seized control of Group A after the opening round of matches at the Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday, beating Burkina Faso 2-0 while hosts Equatorial Guinea drew with Congo Brazzaville. Jorge Costa’s Panthers triumphed in Bata thanks to a goal in each half, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s opener after 19 minutes being followed by a Malick Evouna strike on 72 minutes.Aubameyang, the Gabon captain who plays his club football in Germany for Borussia Dortmund, kept his cool to finish after initially being denied by Burkina Faso goalkeeper Germain Sanou. That goal came on the break, with the Stallions dominating the game, and the 2013 Cup of Nations runners-up were then denied an equaliser in the second half when Didier Ovono saved from Bertrand Traore.Soon after, Evouna clinched the win for Gabon to leave Paul Put’s Burkina Faso already up against it in their bid to reach the last eight.Earlier, the hosts’ dream of starting their campaign with a win were cruelly spoiled as a late Thievy Bifouma strike earned Congo Brazzaville a 1-1 draw.Bifouma, of Spanish top-flight side Almeria, slid the ball under Equatorial Guinea goalkeeper Felipe Ovono three minutes from time to cancel out captain Emilio Nsue’s 16th-minute strike to ensure that the tournament’s opening game ended all square. It was a pulsating encounter, played in front of a sell-out crowd of 35,000 in Bata, in the best possible start for a competition which was moved to Equatorial Guinea at the last minute following Morocco’s withdrawal over Ebola fears. The stadium in Bata was already an impressive sea of bright red as thousands of passionate home fans enjoyed the tournament’s opening ceremony, which was attended by Teodoro Obiang Nguema, the president of the tiny, oil-rich country. He would have been delighted when Nsue, the Spanish-born skipper of the Nzalang Nacional, who plays for English side Middlesbrough, slid the ball under Congo goalkeeper Christoffer Mafoumbi following fine build-up play by Kike Eboula early on.Exciting youngster Iban Edu almost raised the roof with an attempt from fully 50 yards shortly before half-time, and both Javier Balboa and Nsue had further chances for the hosts in the second half.Nsue was then denied what surely would have been a killer second goal when a superb lob over the outrushing Mafoumbi found the net but was harshly disallowed for offside. That proved to be a turning point, as Claude Le Roy’s Congo hung in the game. When substitute Ladislas Douniama somehow headed against the post with the goal gaping, it looked as if their chance had gone, but Bifouma made no mistake when his opportunity arose, his low finish silencing the home fans. The second round of Group A games will be played in Bata on Wednesday, with the hosts taking on Burkina Faso before Gabon meet Congo.0Shares0000(Visited 1 times, 1 visits today)

Lohan is asking for more than $75,000 in damage for the repair of her car and the cost of renting other vehicles. The California Highway Patrol report states that Lohan complained of leg and back pain and was interviewed later at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Actress Lindsay Lohan has filed a countersuit against a busboy who sued her alleging she was trying to flee photographers when her car hit his van in West Hollywood nearly two years ago, court papers obtained today show. Lohan lodged the countersuit Thursday in response to the negligence suit filed June 14 by Raymundo Ortega of Los Angeles. Ortega also alleges the starlet was drinking earlier and he is seeking at least $200,000 in damages. The collision between Lohan’s $200,000 Mercedes-Benz SL65 and Ortega’s van occurred about 5 p.m. Oct. 4, 2005, near Robertson and Beverly boulevards, according to Ortega’s lawsuit. Ortega alleges the actress, then 19, was looking over her shoulder instead of watching the road because she had been sensitive to paparazzi and often drove recklessly after a May 2005 accident in which a photographer rammed her car.

EXCLUSIVE: A Letterkenny woman who works with TV3’s Midweek programme has revealed how her faced was destroyed after she took diet pills.Ciara Doherty, from Gortlee, tested a diet pill bought from an online store but within days she broke out in a shocking skin condition which covered her face in a red raw rash.Within 24 hours the rash had spread down Ciara’s neck and she had to see a doctor Reporter Ciara, 28, the daughter of Brian and Kate Doherty, stopped taking the tablets for two days and the rash began to clear.Ciara, who has worked with ITV and Newstalk before moving to TV3 a year ago, told donegaldaily.com about the horrific chain of events. She revealed “The first few days I had lots of energy and no appetite at all. But in the evenings I struggled to stay awake past eight o’clock. However, within days the problems escalated. I started to develop an unsightly rash on my face.“It started on my nose, my chin and all round my eyes. My skin was hot, red raw, it looked as if it was peeling off. I was shocked and worried it would scar and it felt incredibly uncomfortable. “At the same time I was suffering from severe nausea, dry mouth and felt utterly restless,” she said.Within 24 hours the rash had spread down Ciara’s neck and she had to see a doctor.Ciara added “It felt like every time I touched my skin, more would peel away and when it started appearing on my neck, in larger red patches, I knew I needed to see a doctor.“The doctor went through all of the possible causes but couldn’t identify anything that had changed in my diet or routine other than my consumption of these tablets. He recommended that I came off Phentramine Rx HCL immediately’. Ciara stopped taking the tablets for two days and the rash began to clear. Ciara said: “Within a day I noticed a huge difference. There are still patches of rough, dry skin under my chin and I think it will take sometime before they completely heal”.The manufacturer of Phentramine 37.5 HCL, the pills which Ciara took, said they stood over their pills.“Quite clearly on our label it states that you should consult your GP before consuming this product. It is possible that the rash was caused by anything from your diet (possibly seafood?) to other medication you’re taking. Our company only use natural ingredients of the highest human grade specification available,” he said.Tune in to Quick Fix Diets Do They Work? – Midweek airing Wednesday 2nd February 2011 at 10pm on TV3.
